Deck count
Single-, double-, and multi-deck games do not always share the same decisions. The first release supports six- and eight-deck games; those two profiles use the same matrix.
H17 or S17
H17 means the dealer hits soft 17. S17 means the dealer stands on every 17. H17 generally favors the house and changes several player decisions. See the H17 lesson.
Blackjack pays 3:2 or 6:5
The payout for a natural blackjack materially affects the game. This app teaches 3:2 games. A 6:5 table pays less for the same natural blackjack and should not be treated as equivalent.
Double after split
DAS means doubling is allowed after splitting a pair. It changes several pair decisions, especially small pairs against weaker dealer cards.
Surrender
Late surrender allows certain weak starting hands to forfeit half the wager. The current app profile has no surrender, so hands such as hard 16 against 10 are trained as hit decisions.
Dealer peek or no-hole-card
In a U.S. peek game, the dealer checks for blackjack under an ace or ten before later player decisions. European no-hole-card procedures can expose doubled or split wagers to different risk and can change strategy.
Quick check: if the table does not match all six labels—6/8 deck, H17, DAS, 3:2, peek, no surrender—do not assume the chart on this site applies.
